Man ordered to pay $30k for child that is not his!!!

Carnell Alexander Facing Jail For A Child That Isn't His
In another shocking and obscured child support case Detroit native Carnell Alexander is ordered to pay $30,000 in back child support for a child that is NOT his. His legal assistant filed a motion on his behalf but the judge (Kathleen McCarthy Third Judicial Circuit Court) overseeing the case dismissed the motion saying he "failed to take this matter seriously"

Mr. Alexander has been going to court for over a decade trying to resolve this child support issue and has been previously arrested and jailed. Each time he went to court he explained that the child was not his and also had DNA testing which proved his statements to be true yet the courts are still holding him accountable and possibly facing more jail time for this faulty child support order.

At the birth of the child it was discovered that Mr. Alexander was unfortunately incarcerated for a crime he committed as a youth and has never seen or met the child. The child's mother admitted that she put his name on the birth certificate because she "couldn't think of anyone else", and if she didn't name someone as the father she was going to be denied welfare and housing benefits.

Mr. Alexander should in no way be facing jail time or ever have to pay anything after he has proven himself not to be the father by way of certified DNA testing. At the least the mother of the child should be charged with forgery, welfare fraud, and should be ordered to pay restitution for any money paid into child support for this case as well as any and all legal fees.

Cases like this are happening too many times around this country. It's time to put an end to the monetization of single mothers, reevaluate, and reform the current child support system. This is another example where women who cannot afford their children are awarded free food and free housing. Men who cannot afford their children are also awarded free food and housing inside the cells of local and state prisons.

This case however, is far worse because it is the woman who committed child support and welfare fraud yet the child support system has still found a way to make the man pay.
